REFUND POLICY

At ÒKÈMAPO Studio, every piece is thoughtfully made to order. Once an order is confirmed, materials are sourced, production begins, and resources are committed specifically to your purchase.

Because of this, we encourage resolving any issues through repairs, replacements, or other suitable solutions before considering a refund. Refunds are offered only in limited circumstances outlined below.

When You May Be Eligible for a Refund

A refund may be approved if:

  • The product delivered is materially different from the specifications, finish, size, or design confirmed at the time of purchase.

  • Production is delayed by more than 10 additional business days beyond the communicated production timeline, excluding delays caused by the customer or events beyond our reasonable control.

  • The product arrives damaged, and after reasonable attempts to repair or replace it within 10 business days, we are unable to provide an acceptable resolution.

To qualify, customers must:

  • Notify us within 24 hours of delivery or collection.

  • Provide clear photographs and/or videos showing the issue.

  • Keep the product in the condition in which it was received.

  • Provide proof of purchase.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be approved where:

  • The product has been misused, altered, or damaged after delivery.

  • The customer changes their mind after placing or paying for an order.

  • Incorrect specifications, measurements, colors, or customization details were provided by the customer.

  • The customer approved drawings, dimensions, finishes, or specifications before production.

  • Delivery is delayed due to third-party logistics providers after production has been completed.

  • The customer fails to report an issue within 24 hours of receiving the product.

  • Adequate photo or video evidence is not provided when requested.

  • The customer no longer wants or needs the product after it has been produced.

Deposits & Made-to-Order Items

All custom orders begin production shortly after confirmation.

If a customer pays a deposit but fails to complete payment within 30 business days, ÒKÈMAPO Studio reserves the right to cancel the order. Any deposit already used for design, materials, or production may be retained to cover costs incurred.

Cancellation Policy

Orders may be cancelled before production begins.

Once production has started, cancellation may no longer be possible because materials and production time have already been committed.

If a cancellation is approved after production has begun, a cancellation fee may apply to cover production and material costs.

Damaged Products

If your order arrives damaged:

  1. Notify us within 24 hours of delivery or collection.

  2. Email us with the subject line "Damaged Item".

  3. Include clear photographs and videos showing the damage.

  4. Retain all original packaging until the issue has been resolved.

Depending on the nature of the damage, we may:

  • repair the item;

  • replace the affected component;

  • replace the entire product; or

  • issue a refund if no reasonable resolution is possible.

Estimated resolution times:

  • Lagos: 5–10 business days

  • Outside Lagos: 10–15 business days

Return Shipping

If a return is approved due to manufacturing defects, incorrect products, or transit damage, ÒKÈMAPO Studio will cover the reasonable cost of return shipping.

If inspection shows the product is not eligible for repair, replacement, or refund under this policy, the customer will be responsible for any inspection, transportation, and return shipping costs.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after all required information has been received and the returned product (where applicable) has been inspected.

Refunds will be made using the original payment method whenever possible.
